One of the great ancient orc-holds of the Erean Mountains, destroyed by Varkar.
The mighty mountain of Gadűhvrás is made utterly distinctive by its three peaks. On th eastern side was the Twisted Peak, spiralling up and out; in the centre was the Great Spire, taller and straighter than the others; to the west was the Cloven Peak, slashed deep with a ravine which looked for all the world as if some mighty blade a mile wide had slashed the mountain.
At the base, the main gate of the ancient orcish fortress was visible. In a piece of considerable irony, the orcs had shaped and carved their barbican in the shape of the head of a huge dragon. Jaws seventy feet high framed the massive doors of the gate, and giant hollow carven eyes stared out over the valley.
Gadűhvrás was destroyed in 1272 by a force of human troops from Trialt, officered by Lizardmen - an early use of human Dragonarmy troops.
Soon after the Slaying, an orc warlord called Skoorl led his warband into Gadűhvrás and took possession of some of one of the upper levels, calling themselves the Returned Orcs, and Skoorl King of Gadűhvrás. They did not last long; in five years they were gone.
The Fae Mhor of house Despana also used Gadűhvrás, as a route to the surface during the Kingmaker plot. The routes used to reach it from Nindolen are still open, which worries some people.
The orcs of Kishshul have plans eventually to colonize Gadűhvrás as an expansion colony once their population exceeds their capacity.
