The subsector's third High Population world, Vidazerlor is that unusual thing, a massive democracy. Slightly more than a billion people regularly elect their leaders in a complex process that can be hard to distinguish from war. Because of the vast size of the electorate, campaigning, primaries, secondaries, debates, local elections and the final presidential election take so long that the process is practically constant. Everything else that happens on Vidazerlor is overshadowed and coloured by politics. Ten major parties exist, along with hundreds of lesser and fringe parties, and alliances are made and broken on a regular basis. Depending on the status of the political parties local to a region, cities on Vidazerlor vary between elegant and wealthy conurbations and dystopian, savage, urban jungles.
