Anti-radiation sickness drug
Anarad is available from TL 9 upwards; it combats the effects of radiation sickness by combining with ionised atoms and allowing their removal from the body. The drug also includes anti-nausea agents.
Since the body automatically eliminates the effective ingredients of anarad in a short time, it is common practice to take this medication just before an expected high exposure to radiation, or just after.
Combat troops in a "dirty" war, power plant engineers, belters seeking radioactive ore and starship medics are likely to maintain a supply of anarad.
It costs Cr200 for 40 doses, each of which operates for 8 hours.
