Lantalaure was a pivotal battle; the queen of the elven cities and the last stand of the Eldar against the Dark Beast.
All the mightiest forces, greatest heroes and staunchest allies of the Elves gathered there to confront the Dragonarmies. The resulting battle was the greatest ever fought in Alair, ending in utter defeat for the elves and the razing of the city.
Since the Return and the founding of Belamir, Elverandil Mastersmith has been made Lord of Lantalaure and has commenced its' rebuilding. In fifty years the city has been around a quarter reclaimed - elves think in the long term - but what has been rebuilt is truly magnificent.
