Elf hero, bearer of Fangtil, slain at Parmadiin
Lómorfil was unusual; though born a wood-elf of unremarkable lineage, he became a legend in the constant border wars between orc and dwarf. Forsaking his native woodlands, he lived most of the time in the Erean mountains, and became accepted by many of the major dwarf clans. The smiths of Kobur made his great axe, Foesplitter, and from then until his death he was never seen with any other weapon.
It is told that Lómorfil was given Fangtil, one of the Six Swords of the Noldor, but that he refused to use it instead of his axe. The troll warlord Gîkagor disembowelled Lómorfil and dragged him over a half a mile across the field at Parmadin before he eventually died, and the sword was captured and given in spoils to Varkar. No account mentions the fate of Foesplitter.
